Sun Protection and Acne
Many people believe that sunning can improve acne. This is simple not try, while moderate amounts of sun can temporarily improve acne, the benefit wears off quickly with addition exposure to the sun. Long term exposure to the sun will dry out your skin causing it to produce more oil. In addition, the sun damages skin cells, causing the skin to slough of these old cells. So more oil mixed with more dead cells and you now have the ideal environment for an acne outbreak.

Acne Safe Sunning
Cover up: The best sun protection is to cover up the skin and prevent the sun from reaching it. This means were pants or long sleeves and a wide brim hat when outdoors. Of course this is very extreme sun protection and may not be right for you or activities you plan to do in the sun, so pay special attention to the following tips.
Use sunscreen: You want to use an oil-free product with at least an SPF 15 protection level from UVA and UVB rays (SPF 30 is recommended.)
Wash off the sunscreen: Like any other product you put on your skin, sunscreen can get into and clog your pores. If possible wash off the sun screen, as soon as you can, once you are out of the sun.
