Acne Skin Care Tips
Don't over-wash: Since dirt is not the cause of your acne, no amount of washing or scrubbing is going to make it go away. Limit yourself to two washings per day and use only gentle cleansers. Washing any more than this or using harsh exfoliating scribs will just leave your skin dry, damaged or irritated which can lead to more acne breakouts.
Stay away from alcohol: Avoid any product that contains high concentrations of alcohol. Alcohol is a strong astringent that can strip the top layer of your skin, causing your skin to produce more oil. This can result in dry, red skin and more blemishes.
Never pick or pop: Picking or popping your blemishes will just force bacteria deeper into your skin, causing even greater inflammation. In addition, this will increase the chance of leaving a permanent acne scar
Avoid Touching Your Skin: Touching your face with your hands can drive bacteria into your pores where it can lead to blemishes.
Use and Acne Prevention Treatment: Find an acne treatment that works for you. In most cases you can find an "over-the-counter" product or products that will clear up and keep your acne in check.
